Top 10:

It’s time for a new Top 10. Today we begin a Top 10 list inside of American’s new past time — the NFL.

Here is a look at my Top 10 NFL players. I hope this helps in some of your fantasy drafts coming up soon.

No. 10 NFL player: Tony Romo

Romo will come into the list at the No. 10 spot fresh off a season in which he shattered all of the Cowboys’ passing records with 36 touchdown passes and 4,211 passing yards. The Cowboys’ now third-year starter has taken a lot of heat for his playoff failures, however.

The fumble in Seattle is a fluke and is a once in a decade thing. And Romo is in the same company with Brett Favre and Tom Brady as quarterbacks shut down by the Giants in this past postseason, so cut Romo some slack.

How many quarterbacks in the league have won 13 games in their second year starting?

Answer? One and his name is Tom Brady.

We’ll get to No. 9 tomorrow.

Headlines:

Wie misses the cut at PGA Tour event – Why is this even a headline? Wie has the same amount of 72 hole golf tournament titles as both myself and my fellow blogger Cody have: none. Stick to the women’s game, Ms. Wie, because you’re not even very good on that tour.

Twins call up Liriano and cut Hernandez – Liriano was magic in a bottle a few years ago for the Twins and has been throwing bullets in AAA. Could we see lightening strike twice?

USA wins big over Lithuania 120-84 – Remember when Lithuania beat the USA a few years ago? I do, too. Yeah, those days are over. Team USA will prove this summer that the world can catch up all they want to, but the best still play in the States.
