LSU braved the Louisiana summer heat yet again yesterday and followed up Friday’s dominant practice with another strong showing on Saturday.

Jordan Jefferson had probably his best day of any Saturday rebounding from a poor practice Friday with a good showing Saturday.

After a day in which LSU coach Les Miles kept the offense close to the vest, LSU opened things up quite a bit more Saturday and fired far more passes.

Patrick Peterson may well be the best DB LSU has on its entire roster. It is becoming more and more apparent that this kid is the real deal as he is giving his teammates fits in practice.

Ricky Jean-Francois will not get the hype Glenn Dorsey got, because he is not as well known nationally, but Jean-Francois will have a better season than the All-American did. He is stronger than Dorsey with more speed and has been unblockable.

If you want a breakout receiver, look for Brandon LaFell. I really think this will be his year.

Don’t forget steady Curtis Taylor in that D-Backfield.

Guys, again, I am going to leave it at that, as it is 4:11 a.m. and I am just getting in from a long day.

Full updates Mon-Fri, though as things will be settling down significantly for me.

Phelps sets world record in 400 IM – 1 gold down, 7 to go. Whether he makes it or not, Phelps is still an absolute freak. This guy is as amazing as amazing gets.

Bonds joins Giants outfield reunion – Glad to see the Giants honor Bonds. I hate to see Bonds and Bonds only shunned away from the game. He is not the only person in this era to juice up.

Cardinals rout Cubs, Zambrano – Something didn’t look right to me in this one. Zambrano was terrible. A 15-day DL stint soon wouldn’t surprise me.
